Agnes is 47 has 3 children. Her daughter is very ill with a kidney problem, so Agnes cares for her two small grandchildren.

Agnes received her grant in March 2014. She used the money to buy chairs, pots, a thermos and a small stove to set up a cafe. She serves beans, maize and tea and her food is obviously very popular because while we were talking to her many people popped in to see if her food was ready yet! She has used the money to pay school fees and medical costs for her daughter. She would like a loan to expand her business as she is currently renting her house and would like to own it.
