Dawa

Dawa lost her mother 12 years ago. In many cases this would have meant she would have had to stay at home and look after the home and family. Despite this and the 3 hour journey across difficult terrain each day, she was able to stay in school. Impressively, we believe she is the first girl from the village to complete the SLC.

With the help of the scholarship, she is now hoping to become an English teacher in her village. She knows how important it is for the village schools to have better teachers and she believes she can help others like her.
